Gymnastics

Gymnastics gives students the opportunity to explore the different ways the body can move and provides a foundation to develop the skills that are associated with movement activities.
As per the syllabus outline this provides students with enhanced body management in a fun and safe environment.

Our program is progressive throughout the Term and meets the stage specific outcomes as per the syllabus.
All our coaches are child protection screened and First Aid accredited.
Each student will bring with them their own strengths and limitations and our highly qualified coaches can adapt their teaching styles to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Teachers are encouraged to interact with our coaches to help them better understand the Gymnastics strand and syllabus outcomes.

Each lesson includes a warm up, a development session and a warm down. The developement session is the main body of each lesson and provides students with a variety of learning experiences that will develop their mastery of movement in a fun and exciting environment.

The issue of safety is paramount and all skills are taught in a developmental sequence that includes a number of gymnastic opportunities and lead up activities.

Program: 10 weeks
Classes: 30, 40 or 45 minute classes are available dependant on class numbers.
Venue: Hall or Outdoors (shade is preferable)
Uniform: Sports
Coaches: 2 x coaches per school
Equipment: All equipment is provided by Fitschool Australia

Athletics

School Athletics carnivals are a much anticipated event on every school calendar.
Get your students ready and promote whole school participation with our wonderful athletics program.

Athletics K-6
The FITSCHOOL Australia athletics program is a great introduction to athletics and is helpful in encouraging those students who are not necessarily sport orientated. Its simple and fun format allows children to develop basic skills and concepts.

Students will learn the correct technique for each event & then practice ready for the carnival.
The program is progressive and gives your students a variety of events to participate in to further their experience.

Our program is syllabus based and utilises modern and safe equipment.

Venue: Grassed area
Uniform: Sport
Equipment: Long jump and High jump will only be included for schools who have access to their own equipment, for all other activities, the equipment is provided by FITSCHOOL Australia
Extras: Student’s drink bottle

Dance

Through our Dance programs we provide children with the opportunity to explore and develop their ability to express themselves through movement.

Students will participate in a range of dance styles that are fun and energetic whilst exploring locomotor and non locomotor movements.

As per the syllabus dance should be creative. Fitschool encourages students to be creative by coreographing their own dance useing the tools provided by our qualified coaches.

Dance programs include traditional dances as well as modern dances.

Venue: Hall or Outdoors (shade is preferable)

Fitness

Every child should enjoy a normal level of health and well being. Using a fitness program based on FUN to develop core levels of fitness, children will experience the benefits of increasing their physical abilities first hand. Children can track their progress each week via their own work book. The program is delivered by dedicated staff that are trained specifically to work with children. Staff encourage children to participate, leading by example doing all the activities with them. The program is more than the old 5 min health hustle; it is a specifically designed 10 week program that offers variety, interest, is suitable for every age K-6 and each individuals ability.

If your school has specific needs, we have a range of modular program add-on’s that will cover any special situation. We can even run teacher in-services for you.
